Usha Uthup - Live in Cleveland!
To celebrate 51 years of its establishment, Bengali Cultural Society (BCS), Cleveland is planning to host an evening of musical extravaganza featuring legendary singer Smt. Usha Uthup. With the mission to promote the cultural heritage and traditions of Bengal, BCS provides a platform for cultural immersion to the Bengalis residing in Cleveland and surrounding areas and extends opportunities for cross-cultural friendship to other members of the community. The musical evening featuring versatile Indian singer Smt. Usha Uthup, would be showcasing a variety of songs from diverse genres and languages, enthralling the audience with Indian and Western music.
the steps
1) Formalize the auditorium for the concert
2) Plan promotional material and flier
3) Engage with various communities to spread the word
4) This concert is open to all and everybody is welcome to attend
5) Finalize the sound equipment rentals needed for the concert
6) Print brochure for the program and circulate among patrons, donors etc.
why we're doing it
Usha Ji is known for her contribution to Indian music sphere for more than five decades, she demonstrates mastery in film, jazz and Indian pop and western music. She sings in diverse languages, including English, that is sure to enthrall members from both Bengali and non-Bengali members. BCS believes that presenting her talent to the Cleveland area community will demonstrate cultural heritage of Bengal and India to the grater audience and foster cross-cultural friendship. The event is open to all; BCS welcomes guests from diverse cultural backgrounds to attend the event to experience an evening of Indian music.
